Uneek Construction is a reflection of its owner, professional, hardworking and a visionary. Nick Aitken is the face behind Uneek Construction, and from a young age he had a passion for woodwork which would ultimately lead him to a career in the construction industry.
Being a passionate teen who loved being creative, Nick worked extremely hard to succeed in everything he did. He focused on his education, as well as his pre apprenticeship, hoping to one day start his career in the carpentry trade.
His dream would soon become a reality when he landed himself a “carpentry apprenticeship” not long after completing VCE in 2000.
Nick completed his apprenticeship with a small Frankston builder who taught him everything he knows. Throughout the four years under supervision, Nick built up the confidence to one day consider starting his own company.
In 2005 Nick made it happen. He began his own construction company under the name N.P Aitken. Trading as a sole trader, Nick entered the construction industry, contracting his services out to builders and clients.
Completing numerous courses to build up his qualifications, Nick completed his Domestic Builder Registration course in 2006 and then five years later successfully obtained his Domestic Builders Licence with the Victorian Building Authority.
In 2014 Nick went on to complete another two certifications, one being his Occupational Health and Safety Certificate and the other his Commercial Builders Licence with the Victorian Building Authority. He is now using these new qualifications to build up his business, trading under the new name of Uneek Constructions.
